Morning Routine

So its been a while since I’ve done my morning routine and its changed quit a bit so I decided I should do an updated one.

So since I’ve started homeschooling I’ve been waking up at 6:30am every morning so I can work out before my kids wakeup and they usually wake up around 8am.

I will usually run 2 miles and then do some weights. I never thought I’d be one to enjoy waking up early and having that time to myself and especially working out. But, now I can say I honestly do, I love that quiet time in the morning on my own. I just put my headphones on, listen to some music and just think about my day. I love it!

I’ll usually finish around 7:40am with everything and start breakfast for myself and for my kids.

Today I made boiled eggs for us.

And when they were done, someone woke up. 🙂 Honestly they both woke up late today because they went to bed the night before a bit past their bedtime. So when they woke up it was 9:00am already. IMG_1790

Usually Noah, my son is first to wake up and my daughter Lydia sleeps in more.

So we waited for her, and while we waited a gave Noah a cup of milk.

And then Lydia woke up. So I’ll take her to the bathroom and then get their breakfast on the table for them.IMG-1797

Today they had boiled eggs, yogurt and some strawberries with chocolate milk. 🙂 and since they woke up late I had already finished mine but I had two boiled eggs and a piece of toast and green tea. 🙂

They sat down and prayed for their food while I made our beds and did some laundry.

Once they were done, I got them both dressed and brushed their hair..

I’ll clean up a bit from breakfast and then we’ll start on home school. I try to start atleast by 9:30am.

And then, we’ll start our “worship” for the morning. I have a playlist of toddler christian songs specificaly for the morning and we’ll sing and dance to them.

One of their favorites is He’s got the whole world in his hands.

They’ll dance and sing to it.

After, a couple of songs we’ll sit on the table and read from a toddler bible. I know it says “Goodnight Bible” but, it still works and they love it. I highly recommend this bible if you have toddlers.

Then we’ll review our memory verse which is

“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever. ” Psalms 107:1

Then we’ll start on their morning binders.

We’ll do pages about the day of the week, the month, and date. Then the weather, how they feel today and then they practice their name.

Once their done with those couple of pages I’ll do one on one with Noah for a little bit while Lydia played with her toys and then we’ll go outside for a little break before lunch.

We’ll play outside for 30 minutes, and come back inside and finish homework with Noah.

This week he’s been working on the letter B and Number 2. 🙂 I love being able to stay home and teach my kids everything. Its such a blessing! 🙂

Once he’s done homework for another hour, I’ll start on lunch.

Today I made 1 sandwich for them to share and mac and cheese. 🙂

After lunch, I’ll read a book about the topics we were talking about and give them the choice to play outside if the weather is good or play with their toys inside.

Well, thats our morning routine, they’re pretty busy now but I love being able to be a stay at home mom and I have my amazing husband to thank for that. 🙂

I forgot I was writing this today so I kept forgetting to take pictures. But, better then nothing. lol

Hope you enjoyed!

Thank you for reading!
